Weird mouse cursor problem in Win98SE

On my computer, after maybe 30 minutes to an hour, or usually after a game like Quake 3 is played, my mouse cursor gets a weird square line effect. It's hard to explain, and I can't take a screenshot of it because the cursor wasn't showing up. Here are the system specs:

Duron 600
ASUS A7V
128mb Samsung PC133
Diamond Viper V770 Ultra - 32mb
Running Detonator 6.31's from NVIDIA site

Any help?
