I have a MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU mothboard that had an Athlon 2000XP in it. I had the upgrade bug when the Mobile chips got popular. I checked the MSI site and saw that with the latest bios, it would support the 2600, so I flashed the bios with the latest from MSI thinking all was ready for the new chip.
Fast forward to today. FedEx drops off my chip and I quickly stick it in and find that my bios multiplier only goes to 15 which would be the 2500+ chip. The new chip says 2600 on it so I know I got the right one. Is there anyway to get more multipliers or is a bios update the only way (which I already have the latest)? I'm gonna start overclocking it anyway and see what I can get out of it.
