Weird message after bios

I just got a new HP pavilion elite and a message keeps flashing after the bios. It doesn't effect anything but its kinda annoying. Is there anyway to stop it from showing up?

Also is there a way to not display the HP splash screen. I know in my asus netbook there is a quick boot option that does this.

Are your hard drives set up in a RAID array? If not turn that off in BIOS.

That's not wierd - perfectly normal for a RAID array. Your RAID controller does this - has its own BIOS - that's where you can control RAID.

If you are not using RAID, then, as TeeJay says, turn it off in BIOS.

Raid means that your using two hard drives as one correct? Its a prebuilt machine so I don't know how it was setup. Will disabling it mess anything up?

Disabling the SATA controller would probably be a bad Idea. I'd experiment with those options in the 2nd pictures to see if anything disables the screen and allows the computer to remain functional.

Also you might look for an option called "quick-boot" or "Fast-boot" and enable that. Its generally available on BIOS settings and disables the boot diagnostics which appears to be what you are seeing there.

AHCI is what it needs to be set to, but if your os is on that channel, it could behave erratically when being changed.
