I built this PC for my brother's office right at a year ago. It has a Gigabyte 6VXE7+ Motherboard, Intel Celeron 600 CPU, 64 mb PC100 memory, Seagate 10 gig Hard Drive, ATI Rage 8 meg Video, Aopen AW200 Sound Card, 56K Lucent Winmodem & Realtek Ethernet card. It is connected to a Peer-to-Peer Network to insert data in an accounting program on another PC and to print. It has been running flawless until a week ago. It will lock up several times in the morning hours for no apparent reason we can see. It doesn't happen when doing a particular function or operating a particular program. In the afternoon hours, it doesn't lock up. They have not put any software or hardware on the PC in over 2 months. I removed a few programs from the startup that were not necessary. We'll see how it acts this week. Has anyone ever seen this before? The only thing I could possibly think of was a virus that is programed to only hit them in the a.m. and not p.m.? I have not scanned it yet. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
