My friend has a laptop and it will just shutoff. I guess it did this the other day for the first time. After it shut off, she just turned it back on and it worked fine... for a while. I guess it did this all weekend on and off. I went to look at it today, and it would not even turn back on. It is a toshiba satellite 16XX something. My friend has never used the battery for it, so i know it has nothing to do with the battery. I looked at the power supply, and the little green light on it is lighting up. Also, when i unplug the PS and plug it back in, the lights for the HDD, Power, ETC flash like the unit is getting power. I am stumped as to what it could be. I messed with it for a while, cleaned it out (dust) and such, and i got it to turn on. It ran for about 5 minutes, then just shut off. I have not been able to get it to start again. Does anyone have any idea as to what this might be? Anything i could try.
