weird K8N Neo4 hang...

The problem just started today (im back at my office), but according to the D-Bracket boot is getting hung up at the "BIOS sign on." It goes through the CPU test then just hangs. I have reset the CMOS and got the appropriate screen, but then nothing. The D-bracket tells me this:

Green Red
Red Green

The system has been running smooth as butter for nearly a year now. No OCing. Any ideas how to proceed?

This must be one of those cmos battery problem. Try chainging the cmos battery and see if it will fix it. If the problem occurs again after a few days you have one of those defective k8N mobo!

MSI is aware of the problem and will accept rma. Try rma'ing it. The darn mobo is POS!

The machine has been running fine for close to a year. I will post (mind you not POST) when i get a new battery. Thanks.

@thescreensavers, its an MSI K8N Neo4.

I just had the battery tested at radio shack and all was good, but i picked up a new one anyway. $3 next to the $100 i spent on a book on Bootstrap Statistics? Meh...

I got the sme board and similar problem hmm

I replaced the battery and got through the POST (looks like the RAID array is busted). When i hit the F key to get into the array there isnt one, just my 3 discs. Then it fails at the end of the POST. BIOS is fine and CMOS has been reset. The IT guys here seem to think that im hosed and will have to rebuild. I was running RAID0 with a backup HD. I didnt want to have to do this until Vista came out, but im thinking 0+1 now. Ugh... Note to self: avoid all "up skirt" websites.
