As I was enjoying a snack of some Mustard Sardines, hot sauce and crackers I noticed that they actually have alot of calcium, 70% of your daily requirment. Now, why do sardines have calcium and tuna does not?

Thats pretty cool though cause I was worried I was not getting enough calcium cause I dont drink much milk.

It's because you are consuming bones in addition to everything else with a sardine. Tuna is all meat.

Has alot of protein, but has alot of sodium too. Im not too worried about sodium though, my blood pressure is very low and I always add season salt & hot sauce to everything (well, everything that deserves it. Not like cereal).

Did you know that Americans have the highest per capita intake of calcium in the world? And yet also among the highest rates of bone diseases?

Things that make you go hmmm....

Good article on that subject -

We might consume the highest amounts of calcium, but we also consume incredible amounts of other things that inhibit or negate the benefits of it. Combine that with miserable exercise habits and the myriad of other preventible health problems we have and you can see why this is happening.
