weird issue when i connect cable to xbox to pc i get Frozen pc ;/ HELP!

so i tried diff cables diff computers diff operating systems diff xbox's and im really wondering wtf is going on. sometimes i can get files to transfer to xbox and sometimes it freezes right away, my computers NEVER freeze except for this, i hooked up a wireless router to the xbox once and transferred wireless but its so slow, do i have bad cables? the same cable worked fine from router to 360 with no issues, i will try anything, im tempted to put a diff nic and buy a diff cable but not sure if that is even it, tried windows xp pro and windows 7 64 ultimate and same results, ips are 192.168.1.223 and 192.168.1.222 (pc and xbox) with gateways being the opposite devices ip. any ideas tips would be super apppppppppreciated.
 
ok so i guess i shoulda tried this long might have just been luck or something else changed the network ip's to 10.10.0.1 and 10.10.0.2 not sure why that helped but seems to be working fine now (at least i transferred the 40gb files i wanted to)
