Link (DIVX encoded)

I'm trying to figure out if i just need a more powerful tv tuner card, or if my cable is crap?

Leadtek Winfast Deluxe
using Showshifter (direct encode into DIVX)

Notice the static?

i have a VERY similar problem, if not the same...for me it's a bad cable

I use a splitter, and both my TV and computer are somewhat blurry...if i disconnect the tuner/splitter, and hook it up directly to the tv, looks great. I'm assuming it's the same with the tuner

what card do you have?

Also, its directly into the wall, no splitter.

I had to reread the post as to what the problem was. I guess our signal out here was never very clean. Picture looks pretty good to me.

I had a similar problem with my WinTV-GO (cheap thing from Hauppauge) though - much worse noise than that. I had just put in a splitter and a surge protector for the cable, which ate some of the signal strength. And I was using some cheap, ancient cable to hook my PC to the wall. I got a new cable, and a 10dB signal booster. That seems to have done the trick.
