Weird inbox problem in Outlook XP

Anytime I click on an item in my inbox, it doesn't highlight the email, but instead tries to edit the text that I clicked near. For example, if I click the sender name, it tries to edit that. If I click near the subject, it tries to edit the subject. etc

I first thought my mouse freaked out, but I changed it with 3 different mice and the same problem. I also tried rebooting, lol.

Anyone have any ideas on what is going on? Thanks.
