Weird HD Problems

I'm curious if anyone can help me figure this problem out. We have a small system that acts like a internal webserver here at the company, recently the hard drive got corrupted and I decided just to reformat it and reinstall Windows 2000 again. Now the problem that is comming up is that I cant seem to remove the old Windows 2000 partition. I even low leveled the drive twice, but the information & partition is still there. Has any one ran into a similar problem before.

If Windows 2000's setup utility won't delete the partition, you've probably got more than just data corruption to deal with. Are you able to run chkdsk or another surface scan - even better one of the HD manufacturer's diagnostic utilities - to verify the drive is still working?
