Weird happenings with hard drives.

I was just browsing the web like usual when all of a sudden one of my hard drives on my RAID0 starts clicking. Everything freezes and I have to reboot. Upon reboot the hard drives starts clicking again and I couldn't load Windows XP.

So I reboot and try a few more times. I thought one of the hard drives was toast for sure, but all of a sudden, it works. It loaded XP after a consistency test. Got into Windows and started browsing my documents and then it starts knocking again. Well, I reboot and loaded Windows a few more times, each time the knocking is getting worse.

Then it just stopped! It's stopped knocking and there is no apparent damage. What's up with that?

System specs:

Windows XP SP1
ABIT KR7A-RAID
Maxtor D740X 40GB x2 RAID0
Athlon XP 1900+
512 MB Crucial PC2100
ATi Radeon 8500
Philips Acoustic Edge 5.1

Another thing that is weird is Windows hits the floppy drive when I boot up now. It's only for a second, like it's looking for a disc, but it does it everytime I reboot.
