One of my apartment mates randomly sticks different amounts of money in random pockets in his closet. He doesn't do it often but I've seen it being done once in a while. Then he finds them and he gets really happy, exclaiming that he found money. Does anyone else do this and does it work? I find it a little weird.
 
i tried it once but i have this thing of not forgetting where i put money, so if i was broke i would just go and get the cash

Yeah that's exactly what I think I would do.
 
I used to hide stuff by sticking whatever I was trying to hide into pockets in my closet. There would be a few pants I always used, and only I knew about, so it was never found. Pretty good idea if you want to hide something, but I never hid it for making me happy later.

I did that once when I was little. I hid some in a desk in the hallway. My mom found it months later and didn't believe me when I said it was mine. She made me split it with my brothers.

I'd still do it if I ever got enough to stash away.
