Weird Graphics Problem....

Hey Guys...

Opinions wanted. Seems like whenever my computer starts up, and goes to windows, the screen gets all these mini waves (like about 10 per desktop icon) going horizontally. Weird thing is that they don't show up when my MOBO splash screen shows up, or when the windows xp pro loading screen is on.

However, whenever I click on an icon on my desktop, they go away, and disappear until either my computer is shut off for a long period of time, or my screen saver is up for a significant length of time. I tried taking a screenshot but when I pasted it into my paint shop pro this morning, when there were lines on the screen, but when I pasted it, there was no waves.

I have an ATI 9800 Pro, so what's confusing is that is this a problem with my windows installation, monitor or video card?

Thanks...

Dave

sounds like maybe the moire issue, go through your monitor's OSD settings and search for "Moire" setting.. play with both horizontal and vertical.
