Weird Google Now Issue

So, before I start this isn't a big deal but I'm sort of at a loss to explain why this is happening. I thought someone might have an idea.

In my house I have two wireless routers. One is just setup as an access point to provide coverage upstairs and the other is in the basement where the cable modem resides. The network looks a little like this by SSID :

downstairs (2.4 GHz)
downstairs_5g (5 GHz)
upstairs (2.4 GHz) <--- this is an access point connected by cat6 to the "downstairs" router.

If I connect to the SSID "upstairs" then Google Now properly shows my location (I am in Ohio or Michigan depending on work and/or time of the year).

If I connect to the SSID "downstairs" or "downstairs_5g" my location is shown as Burt, Utah. If I go into Google Maps and get my location it is shown properly and Google Now will update with my proper information. However, as soon as my information gets refreshed after I leave Maps, my location reverts back to Burt, Utah! I have tried clearing the cache and all data for Google, but I keep ending up back in Utah for some reason.

Anyone have an idea what in the world is going on here?

I don't think anyone can answer this for you specifically. Google stores wifi access point locations based on the devices connected to it. I assume it stores it by MAC id and not SSID name. Do you have the share your data with google location option enabled? That would be the only way their records get updated which is likely what sets the "default" location of the wifi network.

I do have it enabled. I see there is an option to delete the history that I missed before. I will try that and see what happens.
