Okay I bought a Duron 800@1000/1.85v from a very reputable trader. I put it in my machine and run it at default... 800MHz. After a bit I go ahead and bump up the multiplier to 10 and it won't boot. So I try 9.5 and it works. I go ahead and try 9.5x105FSB/1.85v and it works... but my system isn't very stable. So I knock it down to 104 and it won't boot again. So I am getting an idea and try 103 and it works... I then test my theory and try 102 and wammmo it doesn't work. I think it doesn't like even number FSB speeds as silly as that sounds... but when I knock it down to 9.5 and try an even # FSB is still doesn't work. I haven't tried even # FSB's at 900MHz but at 800MHz they work. Also like I said if I try 10x100 it won't boot... I try 101x1000 and it works. Strange? Also I can run seti@home, rc5, play CS/UT/q3 yet is I try Prime95 I get hardware failure at anything above 950MHz.
