I love to play games, and I got Half-life 2 about a month and a half ago. I was getting like 40 FPS at medium settings, so I couldn't wait for my new computer. I get my new computer for Christmas, and now I can run HL2/CS:S at maximum resolution and settings, and get 40-50 FPS as an average. But, I am in a clan for Medal of Honor AA: Spearhead, so I play that almost every day as well. Well, this game is about 3 or 4 years old or something, so the graphics demand is pretty dull in comparison to HL2, but for some unknown reason, I'm getting about the same FPS (40-50ish) in both games, one being 4 years old, the other being new and graphically demanding. I even got better frame rates in Spearhead on my old computer, which is much lower quality than my new computer. Also, no matter what I change my settings to in Spearhead, I still get the same crappy frame rate. This is really pissing me off, as I play in ladder matches and such, and it sucks to have the FPS drop so low that it lags on this high-end machine. It shouldn't be happening. If anyone knows what could possibly be the problem, I'd appreciate any help.
My computer specs:
Pentium 4 3.2 GHz Socket LGA775
1 GB DDR2 PC4200 RAM
WD Raptor 74GB 10K RPM SATA HDD
Sapphire X800 XT PCI-Express
Thanks in advance for any help.
