Weird Firefox Issue

This just started a couple days ago. For some reason FF won't keep me logged into anything anymore. I never used to have to log into the forums, Gmail, Facebook, etc. because I could just always stay logged in, but a couple of days ago I noticed I had to log in to everything again. I thought maybe it was just because the private data got cleared, but this happens to me every single time I close the browser now. I checked my options and it says to keep cookies til they expire still, so I'm at a loss.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the heads up, I bumped it to see if anyone could shed more light on the situation. Such a frustrating bug to deal with. FF3 has totally failed to deliver.

it is almost certainly one of your FF extensions, or your FF profile itself is somehow messed up.

i do know that the torbutton extension can cause this, and disabling it does not help, but uninstalling torbutton fixes the problem.

Only add-on I have is Greasemonkey and some scripts for an online game. Guess I'll just have to uninstall and reinstall.

you might need to create a new FF profile. if you do this then you'll want to move your bookmarks over from your old profile of course

I just un/reinstalled and imported my old bookmarks. Works fine now. Strange. Now I've gotta try adding Greasemonkey and some scripts back and seeing which if any of those variables cause it to screw up again.

i had this problem, it is likely corrupt cookies when your browser crashed. a quick wipe and reinstall will solve this issue and give you a fresh start.

Yeah I've got GM and all the old scripts and it's running fine now. Hopefully if anyone else has the same issue they'll see this thread or just think to reinstall.
