Ok, i'm playing cs:source on my sparklin new inspiron 9300. Of course it was running on batteries, not power adapter....anyways, I've been getting choppy framerates. So I played for a few hours and my battery ran out. So I plugged in the adapter and start up cs again. Then I noticed that the graphics were SMOOTH! Same graphic settings, same resolution, etc...

So then I'm wondering, it must be that powersaver thing on my nvidia graphics. I checked, and it was on already maximum performance. My question is, how do I enable full-on max performance graphics while on batteries? I dont mind if it drains my batteries even more...i just want good graphics

If you set your lappy's power settings to home/office desk, that should turn off all of the powersaving features (i.e. EIST, nVidia's powersaver, etc.), raising the multi on the CPU and enabling full GPU performance. I know that's what I have to do to get mine from full time 800MHz (4x multi) to 2.2GHz (11x multi).
