Weird Expired Beta Dx8 Problem EP 8k7a+

Just setup two HD with Win2k. On one I installed IE6 and used
NTFS. The other I used IE5.5 and FAT32. The first is giving me a
Expired Beta Directx draw error even though I have the latest
Directx8. The second is fine. I tried changing Ati drivers and re installing Directx8 but no help. I noticed another post with a similar problem and the Epox 8K7a+. Any help with this will be
appreciated. I have a 1.4G TBird not overclocked with a Radeon
64mbVivo and SBlive Value. Would flashing the Bios to the latest
rev. help on this problem.?

I couldnt figure it out so I just reinstall Win2k using the second configuration. Works fine.

sounds like you got a hold of a beta DX8 release from somewhere. Had it happen to me a few weeks ago. found a site that had a newer version DX and installed it and it went fine.
