my laptop's giving me this error:

"digital line detected (pbx): please verify that your phone line from your computer is directly connected to a standard analog modem or fax line"

when it comes out of hibernation. its done this for a while. its not connected to a modem and i havent done anything with a modem in a long time. the only data stuff its connected to is a wireless internet connection. thanks

hi, ya thats wierd, if there is a modem installed on the laptop, uninstall the drivers and reinstall it, maybe that will take care of it, or try just removing the laptop's modem to test it out and see if that gets rid of the error. but anyway, do you have dsl?

nah no dsl. t1 school line. i read on dell's forums that it has to do w/ a conflict with my mouse driver & the digital line detection app for my dell d600's modem. i just removed it from the startup folder. i read that that's a workaround. thanks!
