Here's a weird electrical problem I ran into this morning. Me and the wife left the house at the same time this morning and after she started her car most of the electrical systems weren't working right. The car started up fine and the interior door/dash came on fine but that's it. Radio wouldn't turn on, heater/defrost wouldn't run, no turn signal or wipers would work, and the headlights had to be manually turned on. I figured it was possibly a fuse problem so I popped the cover off the interior panel and was looking for some interior control circuit. I misjudged the one I was going to pull and got something labeled like PNLGLD (almost surely not exact, but similar lettering and one of the few I really am not sure what means). The odd thing was that when I popped this out (just a 10A interior fuse), the car died. She started it back up (I think she managed to turn the key before I could tell her not to with the fuse still in my hand) and the car started with all the electrical systems working normally.
Something to be worried about or just a really odd case of some onboard computer needing to be reset?
