weird ebay problem

Ok I rarely use ebay, I think I bought something last year and that's about it. My old roomate however, ebayed like crazy. Sometimes he used my computer to do it. I just got the following email from ebay

Dear xxxx@xxx.com),

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to the violation of our site policy below:

Previously suspended user - Account belonging to a previously suspended user.

Our records indicate that your account is associated with the following Previously Suspended account(s):

xxxxxxxx

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way. This includes the registering of a new account.

Please note this suspension does not relieve you of your agreed-upon obligations to pay any fees you may owe to eBay.

Not a scam. There is no link in the email. I went to ebay and signed on - showed my account was suspended.

find a number to call, find an email address, keep talking to people until you get it worked out. Make sure you know your roommate knows and that he's liable for all charges, if they are outstanding, take him to small claims if you are that concerned about being able to use ebay.

it should matter. contact ebay help and see if they can figure out why you're suspended. sometimes if they see similar info for the same person, they'll suspend the account. double check your feedback also.

This same email was sent with a link in it that was a scam, perhaps they fugged up and forgot to put it in there. Check the email headers, I still bet it did not come from eBay.

No my account was suspended when I logged on - so its pretty legit

No..although he might have while he was using it. I remember one time I brought up IE and found his aacount active , so I just logged off. Didn't think anything of it.

If it's legit you need to contact safe harbor and ask, there's no other recourse. It could be a mistake.
