Weird Dying Sound

Need some help in isolating this 'sound' i hear. I first booted up my system in the morning. The boot went fine, but while booting i hear this (very hard to explain, ill try my best) kinda dying sound. It starts out loud as usual (always been like this) but with each passing second it makes like somekind of sound that gets more deep and very LOW until it gets to the point it sounds like a growling type of noise. Of course my very first thought was maybe one of my fans in the case was dying very slowly... but as i look at all of them they all seem to be spinning just fine. And my asus probe says all fans spinning at a normal rate. Does anyone know any other devices that can make this dying kind of noise? any info appreciated thx.
