I'm having some trouble with a pioneer dvd 114 drive.

The bios see's and recogises the drive correctly, the drive is listed correctly in device manager. However, whenever I insert certain dvd's's,the drive light goes on briefly but then nothing, all it does is make tortured clicking sounds and the dvd isn't even reconised as being in the drive by windows.I tried 3 movies, "braveheart" "Titanic" would not play yet "13TH Warrior" plays.

All 3 dvd's are brand new and play without problem in my hitachi GD2500. I've checked the jumpers on the drive, replaced the ide cable, uninstalled and reinstalled Windvd.

What am I missing here ?
