weird duron overclocking problem

I have overclocked several durons without a problem but my friend had this happen to him. He has duron 700 and a abit kt7 motherboard. The duron has the L1 bridges colored in. It flashes 800 in the bios while booting but the benchmarks remain the same. Also when he uses sandra or another benchmarking program it says the processor is 700mhz. What do you think? Could it be the bridges? He said he did them 3 times.

Must be the bridges. Interesting that the Bios recognizes 800 though. Sandra will tell you the truth, so go with that number.
