weird display problem with Voodoo 5500, help?

I was playing Q2, and the game was shimmering. I had FSAA off, and I am using 75 mhz as my refresh rate. The monitor should be able to handle that. Any ideas on how to fix this? Q3 does not appear to have this problem.

It looks like weird wide lines going across the screen.

it's weird that it's only doing it in quake 2. i don't know if glsetup will or will not work in win2k, i've never tried it in that os. is this the only openGL program it does this in? try running quake 3 with the voodoo driver instead of the openGL one and see if that works. if that doesn't run, then i think you might have the drivers installed incorrectly, as glide should work on your card.
