Weird desktop resize issue w/ pic.

The best I can describe this is that no matter what rez I set my monitor too I has a dark black bar at the bottom almost like the monitor is not working down there and a bright black bar to the left. Each is about an inch, inch'n'a half wide and occurred after I applied new D3D settings in the advanced section of windows desktop settings. I've reset everything to default including my monitor and still nothing. 🙁

Latest Drivers, I think CAT 3.10 (I dunno, just got them from ATI.com yesterday)
Fresh install of XP w/ SP1 (Installed yesterday)

Is refresh rate the same? Does monitor resize settings help or seems like a dead zone?

I dunno what caused the problem but I let it sit for a while and then changed the rez a few times and it went back to normal.
