Okay, I have a GeForce 2 32 meg card and Tbird 900@1000 running winXP. For a long time, CS would only show 60 fps all the time. I did the refresh rate fix, and now my refresh rate is 100 Hz at 1152x768 (my CS res). I have set max_fps 100 in the console, and now I get 100 fps max. The problem is, the meter only ever shows 100/99.9 fps, 50/49.9 fps, and 33.3/33.4 fps. When it's at 100, it alternates between 100 and 99.9 very rapidly, as with all the other pairs. But it only ever displays those three pairs. It's obvious that this is 100 fps, 100/2 fps, and 100/3 fps, but I don't know why, and I don't know why it only displays these three.

My guess is that when the card displays >100 fps, the meter shows 100, when it shows 50<fps<100 fps, it shows 50, and same with 33.3... WHY? and what can I do to fix this? (note, using 27.10 detonators, and it happened with other drivers as well).

actually since the engine is unable to do more than 99.9fps it's impossible for the card to render more than 100
