I am getting my A7V266-E next week.
However my order for DDR PC2100 is delayed for a couple off weeks. (SOB BestBuy lost my pickup order)

So the question is - can I use my old memory with this MB for a while ?
I am runnig P2B with 192MB. I do not remember correctly (BTW - is it anyway I can check this?) but I suspect it is PC100.

So again the puzzle is:

1. How to check what kind of memory do I have ?
2. If it is pc100 - will it work on A7V266E ?
3. And if it will - what kind of perfomance dip should I expect on A7V266E/XP1800 compared to crucial pc2100 - 30% or more ?

Thanks ppl

1. You can check what memory you have by download Sisoft Sandra utility or by visit ASUS wedsite and look up what memory it can handle.
2. No, if's PC100 it will not work in ASUS A7V266E becouse tha ram ain't pin compitable.
3. None, you will not get your system to work with PC100 memory

Can't use pc100 memory in the asus a7v 266-e. It takes ddram. If you can't wait, get some pc2100 ddram at your local pc shop.
