Recently my friend's monitor started displaying funny colors and lines across the screen (when a windows box was open). Made sure his drivers were updated...no improvement. So I thought his monitor was messed up. Upgraded old monitor (along with the cable) to a dell 17" flat panel...no improvement. Then he upgraded video card from nvidia Geforce256 to a nvidia fx5200 (don't laugh - he's not a gamer). The lines on the screen went away, but the colors are still off. He's using 71.20 drivers with fx5200.
Reds are appearing as blacks, yellows are like yellow-greens, blues are ok. Since its not the monitor, the cable, or the video card, is it a motherboard issue? Something with the AGP connectors? Any other ideas?
I know the fx5200 works because it was my old video card before i upgraded to 6800gt.
thanks.
