I just got an ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder. My pc has a Plextor 12/10/32 burner in it, no other Cd/DVD drives. This Plextor couldn't read the driver cd that came with the AIW. However, my roomates PC (An old P2-233 GateWay w/ a 16X CD drive) could read it. Also, my other PC w/ an 8X Cd drive could read it. I had to do the install over our home network. The plextor drive has never had any issues reading any CD's, or CD-R's (The driver CD is an origial stamped Cd, not CD-R). Why would this be?

I suspect the Driver Cd to be encrypted for anti-piracy purpose. Detecting your CD-R/W prevented it from being ran.

Jigg might be right, and it also might just be a lousy burn on the disc. Sometimes some drives are more sensitive to that sort of thing than others.
