Weird case screws on cheap mod

Anyone familar with case screws (maybe not even screws) they look like round heads with a small circular opening. On the back side there is a ball point in a socket...sorta. It's a cheap case i picked up that i want to rip apart.

Anyone have any experience with anything like this?

You drill the heads off of pop rivets - usually an 1/8" bit will do it. Just be careful not to ream the hole in the case parts any larger or you won't be able to get a new rivet to hold very well. You can get a pop rivet tool with a pack of rivets for under $10. at WalMart, etc.
