One of my friends is emmigrating to Canada from Asia. At the same time, I'm buying a car here in the states, and would like to give him my current car as a goodwill gesture to help him get settled in the new country. How do I transfer the ownership of the car to him? Can I drive to Canada and "sell" the car to him there? (I'm going to Canada to visit him anyway) Should he come to the states, "buy" the car, and drive it back? I understand that the car has to be modified to adhere to Canadian regulations.
