Weird, can't install antivirus on my computers

I had NOD32 on 2 comps and it just expired, so i tried to install the older AOL Kaspersky one but it gives me an exe cannot be written error. I tried another piece of antivirus, this time AVG, it gives me a similar error. I tried 3 other ones and they also won't install. I even try to run a portable one and it won't even let me run that. This happening on both my comps, anyone know what could be causing this?

Memory or drive failure? Have you tried running MemTest86?

I know this is probably a stupid question but did you uninstall NOD32 before you tried installing the other AV's?

Yeah i uninstalled it and tried to look for any residual files/reg entries. It's happening on two computers so its not hardware.

Perhaps it's Nod not wanting you to switch AV's
