weird burner buffer problem. help!

i have a tdk velocd 24x10x40. i use the latest version of nero. until recently, i started using multisession for burning CD-Rs. today, i had alot of mp3s to archive and i use multisession for those since i backup according to letter. anyways, after about 4 seperate multisessions, my buffer started to act weird when burning. in nero, there are two buffer status bars and im talking about the smaller one. when burning, it goes from 92 then drops to 0 and repeats this activating burnproof every 2-3 seconds. this causes my burn times to now be about 10 minutes for a full cd. what is up with my burner and is there any way to fix it?

try rebooting or letting your drive cool down between burns and heavy usage, sometimes weird things happen durring unbroken usage. If that doesn't work check your ASPII layer and potentially update ur firmware if needs be. You may also be attempting to burn corrupted files, my old burner used to do what you've discribed if the file was corrupted and had damaged or erroneous pockets in the file.
