weird beeping!!! please help!!!

HI I'm building a new rig, here are my specs:

1.4 athlon 266 fsb
iwill ka266
60gb ibm 60gxp 7200rpm
gainward geforce2 pro 4.5ns
toshiba 16x dvd 48x cdrom
17" nec flat fe700

my problem is that I've been trying to build my comp for nearly a full day and after assembly when I power up I get a beeping sound.
It goes:
Beeep (3 second pause) Beep.....

is this a type of morris code for what's wrong? Basically everything powers up, but their is no output to the monitor (I know this because it stays in standby mode, and yes the video card is firmly placed). what should I do can someone give me a set of procedures to check my work according to the meaning to the beeps.

Thanks for your time I really appreciate it. I'm pretty desperate as I've been building for 24 hours and am stumped.

beep codes are diff everywhere. COuld be a loose video card or ram. Havent used IWill's lately.

i have epox 8k7a, although its a different board, i got the same error

for me, the exact same kind of beeping meant that theres a problem with the RAM. call whoever you bought your memory from and explain what happened.

its probable that your memory is dead.
