I replaced my battery a few months ago from the original 2005 one. Not a bad life out of the battery. For like 6 months before I replaced it it was doing some odd things. My trip meter would randomly reset to 0.0 when I turned the car on...I would only notice this when I was keeping track of mileage for work...Every once in a while my head unit would have lost all its presets and programs...not much fun reprogramming and resetting all my GPS info, radio, x-over and all that....
This was all happening long before the batter showed any weakness in turning over the 8 cylinders of fury (j/k 😛 ).
Just thought I'd share the oddities of what a dying battery can do long before it shows any signs of not being able to turn over your engine.
