FALLBROOK, Calif. ? The elderly parents of Grammy-winning recording artist "Weird Al" Yankovic (search) were found dead in their home, apparently victims of carbon monoxide poisoning, officials said.

Sorry to hear he is going to have a sad weekend...

at least they died peacefully and painlessly. If I had to choose a way to die, I would certainly choose that path.

inhale carbon monoxide => feeling dizzy/tired => faint or sleep => die painlessly

it could be that it was deliberately done by the elderly themselves because its suck to be old, alone and their time was up anyway.

I agree that it is possible that it was their choice. That said, one can only wish that wherever they are now, if indeed they are anywhere, they have good luck on their journey.

Both are dead.

Double-murder? Extremely unlikely, especially with elderly victims.
Vehicular accident? "Found dead" wouldn't be fitting in this situation.
