I think it's worse to survive it than to die from it (brain damage).

Anyway, sorry to hear this. It always sucks when someone who makes people laugh has something tragic happen in their lives.
 
at least they died peacefully and painlessly. If I had to choose a way to die, I would certainly choose that path.

inhale carbon monoxide => feeling dizzy/tired => faint or sleep => die painlessly

it could be that it was deliberately done by the elderly themselves because its suck to be old, alone and their time was up anyway.


 
I agree that it is possible that it was their choice. That said, one can only wish that wherever they are now, if indeed they are anywhere, they have good luck on their journey.

Both are dead.

Double-murder? Extremely unlikely, especially with elderly victims.
Vehicular accident? "Found dead" wouldn't be fitting in this situation.
Carbon monoxide? Bingo.

wow. that sucks. condolences go out to weird al. i didnt even know his parents lived down here. fallbrook is like 10 minutes away.
 
CO is nasty stuff, one of my childhood friends lost his grandmother that way.

For a long time I was scared sh!tless of it.
