I was feeling p!ssed and crap about my lifting due to a back injury in Gymnastics = 8 months no lifting. No vertical pressure on the spine as it hurt and bad pains down my back, glute and to my left foot.

rehab work, mri's, chiro (sceptical but the guy I had did some good work, but coudn't heal me up, fixed to a certai point), osteopath (sceptical again and the guy I saw was the biggest waste of money ever. Other osteopaths are probably better but the guy I saw was crap), rehab work, etc.

blah blah blah cut to 4months ago I had a break through one weekend and I felt a lot less pain. I started to bar work for a month. Increase weights 5kg each week but I wasn't able to squat.

Train hard and heavish for 6 weeks and I lift at the comp. I drop 4kg's as I'm getting back to OLifting. Not being able to OLift did me no favours along with an office job.

I haven't been able to squat also due to it feeling not comfortable do pulls.

Comments: Bit shaky at the bottom but I got it. Decent pull, decent speed under. Need to stay over more and keep the bar closer, bigger shrug also.

Comments: Lost it behind. Video guy didn't record the last split second where I lost it behind but you can tell I am on the back foot 🙁. Nearly had it. I had the bar over head for ages it felt like, trying to save it. Gutted 🙁. Not much wrong with the lift. Same old things to improve, stay over longner, keep bar closer, reach further up, bigger shrug

Comments: Lost it in front. Tried to compensate for pulling it a bit too far behind and this time it is i front. Video guy again doesn't record the last second. Bar felt WELL WELL in front of me on the day though. But it looks closer on the video? The last second would have been great to watch it though.

C&J warm ups: felt exhausted after the Snatches. Training stamina still poor due to lack of squats and lack of training.
60kg x 2reps; 70kg x 1; 80kg x 1; 90kg x 1; 100kg x 1; 110kg x 1; 115kg x 0; (jerk was awful, felt heavy)

Lowered starter down 5kg.

Comments: Clean felt alright. Need to get stronger at the bottom in my catch but that has been one of my weaker points. Jerk felt crap. Felt like I jerked it forwards by a mile and chased after it. Video, it doesn't look as bad as I felt it. Still poor and I am in the course of fixing it.

Comments: Looks heavy as it was for me. Slow off he floor but I gave it hell for leather in the 2nd pull and hauled myself down as fast as I could.. Kept back straight and gutted up out of the Clean. Jerk looks a lot closer on the video the it felt.

Overall very happy but gutted I didn't make the 110Kg 🙁. Roll on 110/130 next comp and a 245 total before the year is out.

Snatch: 105Kg +4kg PB
C&J: 125Kg +4Kg PB
Total: 230Kg +8Kg PB
(New Clean PB of 130Kg +4Kg)

The comp was 2 weeks ago and on the Monday after the comp I find I can squat so I am beginning to squat and do pulls. I'm being careful and not going to kill myself.
