weight limit of regular mail?

How heavy can a package be, and just sent by regular mail with a stamp? My sister left her keys in my car, could I toss them in an envelope and mail them to her?

I think you can send up to 13 oz. with regular first class mail. Priority mail is more expensive, but there's a flat-rate (no weight limit) envelope that's $3.85.

How much do her keys weigh?
If they're just a few keys on a chain, you should be safe with a padded envelope and about $1.80 in postage.
