Looks like a knock off of the Total Gym which is much better quality than Weider but at a higher price as well....:)

solid reviews...does anyone know if this can be used in a condo w/ hard wood floors?

I find it curious how most of the people have this for less than a week and write a glowing 5 star evaluation. That's just insane with a piece of exercise equipment.

From experience you can't put any exercise equipment directly on a wood floor or you're asking for trouble. Either put it on a rubber mat or a rug with a rubber backing.

yeah, I was going to put a mat on but I'm not sure if this makes a lot of noise...doesn't appear to though.

No reason not to get it. Pick up this, some cheap dumbbells as well at Walmart and you're good to go.

I picked up some Gold's Gym Dumbbells for cheap there that are very good quality and they were about $20 a kit (bought 2).

Gym membership fees lately are just too much for me. Cheapest around here is between $30-$50 a month....no thanks!

I've had this for the past year. It has done it's job strengthening my upper body to the point where I can now do my own pull-ups, dips and pushups as my exercise routine. So after a year, I use it hardly ever. Sad to say but before the weider, I couldn't do one pullup or more than a couple of dips. My only knock on the unit is that the bench does not slide smoothly on the track. It is not ball-bearing or anything like that--just rubber wheels.

btw, got mine from amazon where it has been about the same price for the past year or two.
