I am primarily an abused seti user (stats-aholic, I want more), but I may soon have some spare cycles I want to spend on cancer research.
Is UD the one working on cancer or is that another program?

I just started UD but if my memory serves me it is researching cancer. Also, I am running SETI and UD side by side and they run quite well together, although UD runs very slow, it doesn't affect SETI times at all. Just something to consider 🙂

Yeah, the UD is for the Cancer Project Research, it is on PHASE II now. You might take a look here. I hope U join our team Cakin! 🙂

How well does UD run on duals?
I am getting ready to order cpu's for a TigerMP that is sitting here in the corner (maybe1600's)

I've never found UD stats on processor quality - but I'm sure it would fly on Dual MP's/XP's

Cakin, UD is still single processor support only. You can run it on one cpu of a dual(or more) machine and another project on the other cpu but not both to UD. There used to be a couple work arounds, but these also were used as paths for cheating (caused a bit of stats mayhem) so they got removed in a client upgrade. My info might be a couple months out of date so you may want to check the UD boards to see if anyone has figured out how to do it on the new client. Multiprocessor support of the most requested enhancements to the client but UD hasn't devoted the time and cash to implementing it yet. 🙁

I looked into this a couple months ago when I was thinking of building a duallie machine.

HMM, therefore I would suggest you run your other DC project (unless UD is your only project) on the Duallie, ALONG with UD - sicne it plays well with other DC clients.
