Thanks for the stats. The last few days I have been down in points. Something has been wrong with the assignment servers, and the only way I found to get a unit, is repeated reboots. But lost a million points or so until I figured it out.

No, the pay is the exact same as if you ran it on a CPU.

Kinda sucks, but someone during the (late Summer/early Autumn?) race that the Germans hosted said the exact same work is being done, whether it be CPU/GPU. Assuming that information is correct, it only makes sense in that regard, to award the same points.

I don't recall, what kinda points does Asteroids pay per GPU WU? That project is on my to do list for 2016, but not for a while. Pretty low amount of points per task if I recall correctly. Well, compared to GPU Grid, MW, Collatz, POEM, and others anyway.

IIRC GPU points & performance is very poor for Asteroids, it's primarily a CPU project.
And yea it's 480/WU for every WU in Asteroids, I think the speed up vs a CPU was something like only x2. Unless they've updated the GPU app recently?

I can't wait to finish my 100M goal in Folding, then I can see what the Nvidia cards can do it in, and try to figure out how Pokey so thoroughly stomped me in the semi-recent SETI race.

If I remember correctly Asteroids GPU app is Double Precision, and we all know how Nvidia feels about having to limit DP performance on their cards.

Asteroids is, or at least used to be the highest paying CPU project, better than some GPU projects. Don't waste your time doing Asteroid GPU WUs, it was only a little better than the CPU needed.
