The questions that I have to answer were written by another moron...
The majority of the people in the class are morons as well.

Okay, class, what is it about plagiarism that you don't understand? Online discussion... we're supposed to post our responses and respond to the responses of two other people in the class. Nearly 1/3 of the people in the class quoted entire paragraphs from the text. This occurs week after week after week. The prof does nothing about it.

How am I supposed to respond to these people (I'm supposed to.) I'd like to respond with "that's an interesting plagiarized quote... I'm interested in *your* opinion though. Can you elaborate a bit?"

Business classes suck! I like math and science because they aren't filled with 70% bullsh!t, 28% fluff and 2% substance. And, after the freshman year, the idiots have pretty much weeded themselves out.

The school I go to often has texts that are custom tailored to the classes... they adopt a text and apparently add some questions at the end of each chapter. Unfortunately, the person who wrote the questions obviously didn't read the text. Which explains why the questions don't mesh.

Simplified version of what I'm going through:
Text "when there is a fire, call the fire department"
Question: "When there is a fire, describe the 7 step process that needs to be implemented. Write a question an interviewer would ask for each of these steps."

This stuff sucks.

We're discussing different interviews. I have to come up with questions that a baseball manager is going to ask a player during a performance interview/appraisal.

I wonder if the prof actually reads my work...

My answer:
Of the performance factors, perhaps the most important the manager should ask the player about concerns productivity. Example questions for productivity: "So, you're in a slump, huh buddy? Why aren't you taking steroids like the rest of the team? What's the matter, not a team player? Afraid of a little cream? "

It's a weekly complaint. I'm not sure I've posted the complaint every week, but it seems like it. The only advice I've been given that seems to work is to recognize that most business courses are just a bunch of bs... go with the flow and pretend you know what you're talking about, just like the profs and other students.


seriously... managers of baseball teams sit down with the players and have appraisal interviews with them to discuss "punctuality, initiative, job knowledge, creativity, planning,..."?!

Business schools turn out idiots. That's always been my opinion, and your post is helping to affirm it.

I'm working on a master's in technology in education. It's not all it's cut out to be, but this is the 3rd master's I've started in as many years. I plan on finishing #2 as well, but need to have one of them finished by the end of this year for my permanent certification. #2 is in physics. #1 was in general education - a waste of my time. I thought it would help my teaching skills, but it wasn't doing so.
