I am still learning this ARMpit stuff :) I had my new to me Odroid n2+ on android grinding out some work, but before it could finish tasks (was underclocked for some reason and maybe only using 4 or 5 cores out of 6 - would not kick on the fan...)

Did I say I am still learning and now re-installing android 11? on an sD card to reload on the n2+. To hopefully get Boinc tasks running on this crap :)

My new to me emmc burner and Odroid n2+ case show up tomorrow.

I used to be a linux / Ubuntu fan in like 2014 / but it is all coming back to me slower as I get older. And for some reason does not seem as COOL as in bitchin as in funcky ! :)

I am sure some of you will say "why not just go with the..." Linux versions, or more titular Pie versions :)

Yes, but I like to torture myself from time to time with old command line bullsheet that I don't know.

I will say without the World Wide Interwebs!, I would like have given up many hours ago. So thank all that is goodness to the WWW! Or whatever U youngins call it now.

AND, I still don't really care for non-forum based sharing / discussions. Dissport / Redish / whatever still does not seem to value add much..... Please explain!

You didn’t want this to be easy, did you? :D

i setup my pis to pull from WCG OP if Rosetta is out of tasks. I think it’s all done though the WCG website profiles, but I don’t remember for sure.

Yes, you need to set resource share to 0 on the "backup" project using the web preferences on your account at the project.

So if you want Rosetta@home to run full time. Then setup Rosetta@Home like normal.
If you want WCG to run if Rosetta@home is down/out of tasks then login to WCG, set resource share to 0, then attach WCG to the host. It will only grab work if Rosetta@home doesn't send anything.

Replace WCG with whatever backup project you wish.

Yeah, I'm aiming for a consistent experience, from order, over delivery, to actual usage :D

Petrus - good to see you! :)

Ash, sorry to hear that, I hope things get resolved soon.

If you'd like, I can check with the local dealership here. They have access to the entire spare part inventory in Germany, incl. classic parts. Maybe they can get it. Just give me the VW part number, and I'll ask for it (I have to make a service appointment there anyhow).
Thanks for the offer, but the bearing finally turned up on Thursday :), 4 weeks after it left Poland!

I was going to work out how long it'd take me to catch up, but now I see how far ahead you are it would probably be 1-2 centuries! :tearsofjoy:
