Can't seem to hit 200 FSB

Basically, I've got an early revision of the 8RDA and can't seem to make it to 200FSB with my unlocked, week 32 2500+ Barton.

However, regardless of whatever I change the mutliplier to in the BIOS above 11.0x, it still reverts back to 11.0x. I can use the lower multipliers, but nothing above 11x. I thought that it being an Nforce2 board and having an unlocked Barton, I should be able to run the chip at 166x12.5 with no problems.

Why can't I access an multipliers greater than 11.0x?

thats odd that it wont accept the change in the BIOS. try doing the wires-in-the-sockets mod and see if you can force your mobo to 13.5x. i have an old via kt333 and it works on it (since i can't access anything higher than 12.5).

it's a pretty simple mod that is easily reversible. cut an inch-long single strand of speaker wire or lamp wire or something and then cut that piece into 5 very short strips. you'll bend those little strips into "U" shapes and stick each end into the corresponding sockets on that link above. you can force it to any multi this way. just make sure to set the multi in the BIOS to AUTO.

Has anyone tried this on a locked Barton? My locked 2600+ will not do 11.5X200 (2300mhz), but it will do 11.5X192 (2208mhz). I would love to run this CPU at 11X200 (2200mhz).

My locked 2600+ does 11.5x200fsb with no problems on a Epox 8RDA+, no mods, stock voltages.

Chip markings:

AXDA2500 DKV4D
Y008174L31192
PQZEA 0332 MPMW

I've never seen a stepping with PQZEA before, but thought it would be locked since its week 32. Unfortunately, I've tried it in an Asus 87N8X-E Deluxe board and the it still goes back to 11.0x when I change it to something higher or lower in the BIOS.
