I recently dedicated a 55 gallon plastic trash can to making "weed tea". I fill it with water, and aerate. Then I put weeds I pull up, and branches/flowers I pick while walking around the neighborhood area and ponds and things, in 5 gallon paint mesh bags and hang them into the water and let them decompose over a long period of time. I also add brown sugar some times both to feed the microbes and to (very slightly) increase some of the minerals (it has a little bit of molasses in it I understand). I then use this, sometimes diluted, to water my plants from time to time.
Question - this should have every nutrient my plants need, correct? I mean, if I'm picking up lots of different plants for the tea, surely collectively they contain all the nutrients my plants need, correct? Maybe not in precisely correct ratios, but overall, no?
Thanks!
