Weed isn't bad for you?

My friends say that if I have weed no more than like every 6 months, nothing bad will happen to my body. I can't believe that they would be correct, but are they? What can I say to point out where they are wrong?

If you look at scientifically tangible evidence, nothing shows MJ has adverse effects on anyone except those pre-disposed to mental illnesses. Wake up people, look at the science and not the fear propaganda.

Edit: Although I would support more research into the effects of MJ on the mind, it won't happen because the government is so vested in the war on drugs there is no turning back.

Weed isnt bad for you. Your friend is completely correct.

C'mon, please just help me out.

It's not a "good" thing to do to your body, basically it's no different than alcholol.

Weed can kill you the first time. Don't listen to anyone here. People die all the time to it.

Actually one of my friends was the one who brought it up...as I mentioned in my previous thread.

Also, thank you and everyone else for pointing out how stupid I was for considering it. I am not going to. I am going to do what my brother did, and go to my community college first.

I've heard you'd have to smoke your bodyweight in marijuana in under an hour in order to kill yourself. But, I mean, I probably heard wrong.

I can't believe in the 21st century people still consider MJ in itself a harmful thing. It is laughable. For practical reasons, job drug tests and such, it may be best for you not to smoke it, but the case against MJ is laughably weak. How come people buy into this still? Keep an open mind, research this yourself, and make your own decision.

It's not propaganda, there are lots of documented cases of deaths to MJ all the time. I've looked at the stats myself, there are higher death rates to MJ than heroine in some places, which is probably due to so many people using it thinking it's not bad for you.

Because of millions of commercials, and endless classes in school that talk about it....I guess its all propaganda.

Shens x100. I bet on my ATOT account you cannot document one death directly related to THC.

well there are carcinogens so of course it is bad for you.

But then again there are so many things 'bad' for you you'll just have to pick and choose.

It is generally considered to be impossible to achieve a lethal overdose by smoking cannabis. According to the Merck Index, 12th edition, the LD50, the lethal dose for 50% of rats tested by inhalation, is 42 milligrams per kilogram of body weight. That is equivalent of a 75 kg (165 lb) man ingesting all of the THC in 21 one-gram cigarettes of maximum-potency (15% THC) cannabis buds at once, assuming no THC was lost through burning or exhalation. For oral consumption, the LD50 for rats is 1270 mg/kg and 730 mg/kg for males and females, respectively, equivalent to the THC in about a pound of 15% THC cannabis. Only with intravenous administration ? an unheard-of method of use ? may such a level be even theoretically possible. [5]

Google it yourself. No need to giveup your account. I'd rather people get informed.
