Also, when you get the images, request the RAW files as well in case you want to process any of them yourself.

have no fear, photochopped here

Wedding Pics

Pics taken May 28th of this year at our wedding/reception near my wife's hometown of Livonia, MI

Photography buffs, feel free to post your thoughts or recommendations (if any) that I can give to the photographer before they finalize and print.

If anyone else has any questions or curious about the Indian wedding tradition, feel free to reply or PM I would be happy to enlighten you. It was a great weekend and talking about it makes it like I am living it again :)

You have a big nose...

No Worries... Mine's Bigger ;)

And this is what I do in the office

So this was the full wedding, yes?

The first one of this kind that I went to took me by surprise. Three days! And then the bride and groom traveling around the room on the journey of life, so to speak. Did you go through the same thing? Did her brothers block you from going farther until you gave them a gift? I am trying to remember it all...

The funny thing is that the groom was a white as they come and had that deer in headlights look the whole weekend we were there. I think if he knew what the whole ceremony was going to entail, I think he would have preferred to run off to Vegas.

Forgive me if I am being rude. But what are those patterns on the women?s hands?

I take it they?re not permanent?

It's called Henna/Mehendi. Text
Very popular in India/Pakistan. Also very popular in Islamic cultures.

It usually lasts a week or so - also a very good natural hair softener/conditioner but you also dye your hair maroon in the process :p

I found a 'before' pic from my cousin's wedding. It's applied the night before and it turns dark red/brown overnight. Can't find a decent 'after' pic.

That must have taken ages to do. It stands out quite a lot too.

Yep full wedding. We did all that, the traveling around the room you talk about is probably the walking around the fire four times... Her brother (well cousin) blocked me from going on the fourth trip around until i promised him that i would forgive my wife for anytime she fvcks up in the future lol.
